I wasn't trying to create a skincare brand. I was trying to help my daughter.
After Cierra's grandfather passed away, she inherited some of the medical supplies and ingredients he had left behind.
When her daughter later developed a stubborn skin irritation, Cierra began experimenting to formulate something of her own.
What started as something made for her daughter quickly became something other people began asking for. Friends and family tried it. They saw what it did. Soon they started coming back asking the same question: "Where can I buy more?" That's when Cierra realized this might be bigger than something she was making at home. And that's where Purviance began.
